They are learning about costs and profits this way. Their earnings shrunk quite a bit when they started buying the food, but they are learning on very simple terms the way a real business runs. They each have individual and shared responsibilities.
Nina is the egg washer most days, they both collect the eggs once a day, and Sela closes the pen up at night and does one final check. Sela also handles the emails and orders. Sela creates patterns of color and size in each carton..because it just wouldn't be as pretty if there were two browns next to each other (she loves this!) Nina is great at customer service and has landed a few customers herself. They always do deliveries together. They still need a few reminders and I fill in here and there, but overall, they are a great team!

Way to go Nina. Your eggs look squeeky clean. What a wonderful experience to have a little egg business.
Granny can't wait to try your eggs in May. Love you, darling
