Bird Hunt

Every once in awhile the kids love a new idea or activity so we had a little bird hunt last Saturday. Rollin had the most difficult time because you have to be a wee bit quiet to have the most success, but the girls took it very seriously and found each bird. I love the great ideas in the book I Love Dirt. So many simple ways to keep children engaged, curious and learning about the natural world around them. And we do love dirt around here!

What a fun activity! I love the picture of Nina with the binoculars looking up in the tree. Great shot. We can't wait to see your birds in just over a week!
