Egg Delivery on Bikes

Sela has decided it is more fun to deliver eggs on her bicycle. I had my doubts about this idea, given the fact that several gravel roads and lots of bumps are involved, but so far, so good! I help her wrap the egg cartons in towels and off she goes. She takes two or three dozen at a time and then comes home to load up again.

This week one of her customers, Ann, sent her home with a big plate of cookies. Oh, the joy! Somehow she managed to get the plate of cookies in her backpack and not one was broken when she got home. This sure beats the time she and Nina had the great idea to climb over the 10 foot tall back fence with egg cartons in hand (a shortcut) to deliver to our neighbors, the Elops. That final jump down resulted in lots of broken eggs, and even more tears!

What a great job...drive through the scenic area on a bike with fresh eggs to deliver. Beats sitting at a make shift peach stand for a customer an hour, if that!! Mr. Wilson was probably our only customer come to think of it :) (Of course it was fun but I remember it got a little bit boring and it didn't pay well!!)
