What a weekend we had. Usually you catch up on rest on the weekend but we all worked so hard getting the house and yard in shape. We are so excited to be moving, although we have loved it here. Luckily we aren't going far, but what a different lifestyle it will be. So long to the neighborhood, hello farm! Well, it's not a farm but we found our ideal house on 5 acres in Woodinville on Hollywood Hill. There are fruit trees and gardens, and a huge green house. Zig is beyond thrilled. He is just giddy at the thought of moving to the "country" but being close-in. He can still bike to work and we can just open our doors and let the kids run free. The girls have already been picking lots of raspberries at the house the few times we went to see it before we made an offer. There are equestrian properties all around and we can really see the kids growing up here. But, before we get too excited, we have to sell our existing home, which is why we are all exhausted. Moving is no fun with three little ones. But, the end result will be worth it. Luckily Mom is here so I have been able to pack, but she is pretty exhausted because Erin needs constant care and help with Moriah. Her morning sickness never lets up and there are many many days she never gets out of bed. Walking down the hall is a huge ordeal. Mom, Erin and Moriah are headed to Texas on Wednesday because we have to show the house and Erin is just too sick to have to leave without notice many times a day. So, our summer has definitely taken an unexpected turn, and we didn't have the perfect summer we were planning of berry picking, parks, and outdoor concerts, but life happens and is often unexpected. I know mom's trip was not at all what she expected, but it is what it is. I have learned from watching mom that a mother's work is truly never done. She is constantly giving and it makes me tired watching her. I know Zig's mom is the same way.
We are hoping to get the house ready to list in a couple of weeks. The landscaping people are coming Wednesday, painters next week, and then we should be ready. Luckily we get to move into the new place mid August so we won't have to live here and show the house as well which is so difficult with three children.
Well, that's pretty much it. Lots of yardwork, cleaning, the occasional walk with the babies, and lots of togetherness.
